Concrete Contractor in Rockland, NY
My name is David Rolls. I grew up in Nyack and have worked here all my life. Over the years my father and brother, both architects, have helped me understand the engineering/design aspects of why things fail - so I am familiar with, and do, GREAT REPAIRS!
I pay attention to detail and my rates are reasonable, 10%% off for seniors.
I prepare everything understanding the weather we live in will be harsh.
I know how to make things last!
The secrete to repairs is - that they not look like a repair! We put dyes/additives in the mortar to mimic existing work to blend nicely. We power wash for a dust free surface and sponge clean our work for a correct, professional appearance. We are neat and clean. All new work is done to state/county codes and specifications. My work is guaranteed!
I know the proper way to set stone (not in sloppy wet cement) for it to last a century! It's an art.
I know walkways must have expansion joints. We cut the concrete with a diamond blade.
I know concrete MUST be 4-6" thick (12" thick at steps) and have 4" compacted gravel beneath it, with rebar steel and wire mesh, pitching away from the house for water run-off.
I know chimney bricks must be reset, not just pointed for appearances, they need to have a concrete crown for water run-off. I enjoy the heights, with a healthy respect, so I can rebuild the top of your chimney for lots less than others. Repairing flashing is no big deal.
I know cultured stone must look crisp and sharp.
My steel railings always have SOLID steel posts (rather than the hollow core everyone else uses), so they won't rot out. EVER!
No skimping! On anything! Ever! And yet affordable, so we are all happy.
You can trust that I not only KNOW, but will USE the right material to DO the right job.
I have to answer to, and please you - but I also have to answer to, and please God!
I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but 90%% of the time the chimney top needs to be taken apart and put back together again, not just "pointed". Don't fret! The typical chimney is between $500 - $1700 depending on size...
